Lecture Series on Science and Religion
Beginning April 30, the video lecture series "Science and Religion" will be presented at Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 E. Adams St., Franklin.
The general public is invited to attend part or all of this series.
The group will meet at 10:30 a.m. Sundays in a classroom in the old classroom wing on the east side of the church.
The lecturer is Lawrence M. Principe, professor of the history and science and technology at Johns Hopkins University. He received a Ph.D. from Indiana University.

Double Helix Speaker
ISU's department of life sciences and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods' department of science and mathematics will co-sponsoring the first annual "Double Helix" speaker Tuesday afternoon.
Loren Rieseberg, professor of biology at Indiana University-Bloomington, will give a 45-minute presentation titled "Plant Species and Speciation."
Through his presentation, Rieseberg said he will provide evidence that plant species are "discrete, objective entities that represent reproductively independent lineages or 'units of evolution.'"

Darwin Day
CFI Indiana held Darwin Day 2006 this past weekend on the IUPUI campus. It was a great success with many interesting speakers and a sell out crowd. Photographs from the event can be found here.
